The Ewa Makai Leadership Team earned 1st Place in the 11th annual E Ola Pono Campaign in the Middle School Division and earned $1,000! They took the chance to promote pono within Ewa Makai that transcended into the whole Ewa community. As a result of extending pono into the community and touching the hearts of others, it fostered peace, harmony, and created strong bonds between one another that will forever make a difference. E Ho'opono within Ewa Makai was produced by Alena Bolosan for the annual statewide E Ola Pono Campaign to promote safety, peace, harmony and mutual respect throughout our 'Aina. The video touches upon the topic of violence within the school and Ewa Community along with providing solutions to the issue such as a Peace Gathering, Cheer off and more.

Alena Bolosan, Student Body Leadership Representative and Media Specialist, earned First Place in the Hawaii Next 50 Statewide contest for the multimedia category. She had the chance to go to the State Capital to get recognized by the House of Representatives and be awarded a proclamation as well as a monetary prize.
